Online Video Book Promotions

by Abel Keogh

Online videos are quickly becoming an effective way for authors to promote their books. Best-selling author Michael Connelly has just posted a video on his website that depicts two scenes in his upcoming book The Brass Verdict. The next video will be released next month. You can watch the video below. It gave me all sorts of ideas for making a video for Room for Two and my forthcoming novel.

Wow, that's really awesome!

My book, however, is a non-fiction book about preparing to go to the temple...

Maybe I can show a girl in a department store reaching out to buy an immodest shirt and then someone slaps her hand away. :p

Candace Salima is now a partner in Reel Line Productions, a company that is producing book trailers (though they call them book screeners). She did an author interview about her non-fiction book. I agree that this seems to be the wave of the future.

Thanks, Abel, for sharing this. It gives some of us out here some good ideas!

Wow! I've got to learn how to do that. (I'm casting local townsfolk in my mind!)
